Job Description
- Project management & Team leading of a couple of systems in the pre-trade environment.
- Interfacing with business unit sponsors (sales and trading) as well as other key stakeholders such as quants, operations and downstream IT teams, to gather requirements, document specifications
- Working with IT colleagues globally across a number of front / middle / back-end systems and teams to implement and then test the required functionality.
- Working with the first level support team to provide production support.
- Involvement in the full development lifecycle of the project.
- Coordination with the global team on new features and participation in driving the future direction of the system.
Skills Required:
- Strong C# with emphasis on multi-threaded real-time GUI development
- Strong WPF knowledge with MVVM
- Strong Java/J2EE development experience
- TDD & DDD
- Tomcat, Apache, Spring, jUnit, jMock knowledge
- Experience using Visual Studio and Eclipse
- Good Unix/Linux experience with knowledge of Unix tools and scripting (Perl, ksh/bash and Autosys)
- Practical Experience using HTTP (and ideally REST) based services
- Experience of Agile development techniques and a deep understanding of systems engineering, build and release management principles including continuous integration and continuous delivery.
- Experience with design patterns, unit testing, performance/memory analysis, and n-tier architecture
